Each year the McFarland Chamber of Commerce coordinates and promotes Christmas in the Village, a local business and community celebration of the Holiday Season held annually on the first Saturday in December. Christmas in the Village is a valuable way to build recognition of the businesses and services available in the McFarland area. About 4600 promotional fliers for Christmas in the Village are mailed to all addresses in the 53558 zip code area, and addresses in the Madison 53718 zip code area just north of McFarland. The fliers include advertisements for participating businesses and organizations, schedule of events for the day of Christmas in the Village, including open houses and events hosted by participating businesses, FREE horse-drawn carriage rides, Christmas Carols and Santa at the Holiday Bonfire and lighting of the community Christmas Tree. Christmas in the Village is an opportunity to encourage people to do their shopping in McFarland, and celebrate the holidays with local businesses, friends, and neighbors – creating a truly “Community” event!

Although Chamber Membership is not a requirement to participate in Christmas in the Village, we invite businesses and organizations who are not members, to consider joining the McFarland Chamber of Commerce. Our membership continues to grow, along with event participation and benefits of membership. Non-Members participation is at a higher fee. Please contact the chamber office to attend a chamber luncheon (free of charge!) to meet some of our members and learn more about joining.
